Korg Volca Beats circuit boards have a missing component, which causes the snare to sound distorted.
Widely considered a manufacturing or design fault throughout the online community.
The PCB requires the component to be fitted in order to sound like an authentic analogue snare.
The snare volume is also quite low, as shipped by Korg, and so the second part of this modification is to bring up the level to a more balanced overall sound.

This is a service I am offering for those of you who are not skilled at soldering and need support and advice regarding this technical issue.

RECTIFICATION- All work is carried out under anti-static conditions by myself. I am an electronic test engineer with over 15 years experience.
The missing capacitor is fitted with a carefully selected value making the snare sound clear, crisp and not muffled as shipped from Korg.
